Better Pool Party: Miami or Vegas

Here’s question bachelor parties and bachelorette parties have been asking for years. Who has the better pool parties Miami or Vegas? I’ll be giving my opinion based on experience, although I must say I’ve been to many more Vegas Pool Parties than Miami so I’ll try not to be too biased towards sin city. Most city’s pool parties don’t even compare to Vegas, but Miami is definitely one that can compete.

Miami’s Pool Parties:

Remember before we get going there is no actual criteria here, just personal opinion and observation. Only being to Miami a few times is something I definitely need to change in the future. Miami is like an adult fantasy land. Everything is hotter than hot – the clubs, beaches, and the people especially. It’s a place that you need to see to believe.

One thing that stood out to me is how often it feels like English is not the first language at a Miami pool party. Several different spots had a DJ calling out to the crowd in Spanish. While there’s nothing wrong with that at all and in my opinion made it a little more fun away. It’s just something I guess I didn’t expect. This is not the case in Vegas. Even Though there are plenty of people from all different nationalities, everything is in English. Just noting one major difference in a Miami pool party.

Along with the Spanish language, you’ll hear is a lot of Spanish music. Again, in my opinion, it’s nice to hear something different and that something different is something that will move you to move and dance the day away. I only include this because if you’re expecting hip hop or EDM you might want to check before who’s DJing because you might not get want you to want.

Moneywise I’d say they are about the same. Both Vegas and Miami are very expensive, but that’s to be expected considering most people don’t just casually roll up to a pool party. Most people go for a bachelorette or bachelor party or on vacation which means they’re willing to spend a pretty penny. In my opinion, I’ve seen more of the faulting style of partying in Vegas. People getting competitive at various tables – a who can top who type of feel. I didn’t get the same feeling at any Miami pool party. Something about the scene seemed more genuine to me. Like, “Yeah, I live and Miami and this is what I do.” As for where Vegas nobody is actually from there and everyone is living their best life for a few days.

All in all, it seems like a more genuine feel, but less craziness than Vegas.

Vegas Pool Parties:

Well for starters, you simply can’t find a better crop of DJ talent than in Vegas. Just check the residencies it’s ridiculous. At any time you can see the world’s biggest and best DJs. As someone who lived in Vegas for a period of time, I can attest to this and honestly I tell people to go off-season a lot because you won’t be missing any top talent even in the offseason.

Vegas is the type of place that money talks for the most part. There are plenty of ways to save, but at the end of the day, it’s going to be a decent price. Vegas pool parties are much wilder than Miami’s cool vibe. People treat the party the same way they would go out to the club just with fewer clothes on. You’ll see bottles and tables being bought and sold without a doubt.

Vegas pool parties hold many more people than the average Miami pool parties. It is something to take note of especially if you’re not looking for a jam-packed experience because any of the big day clubs will be packed! Usually, around 3 or 4 is when they’ll really fill up, but even around 1 o’clock, you’ll see the crowd really start to roll in. Miami I wouldn’t say it’s necessary to get a table, but in Vegas, I would definitely suggest it. Especially because in Vegas you can deal with some extreme heats upwards of 120 degrees. So I would think ahead and even try to ask for a covered table, trust me you won’t regret it.

Also, in my experience, Vegas can be sticklers for certain things like dress code and IDs. In Miami, I never saw one person turned away for something they were wearing or not wearing.

Miami Vs. Vegas:

Which has the better pool party? That was the question we set out to answer and don’t take this as a cop-out, but it really depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a slightly more quiet, laid back scene with a ton of beautiful sights and people around I would choose Miami, but if I’m really looking to party hard I’m going to Vegas all day.
