50 Cent Takes Umbrage in Taco Trash Talking
50 Cent is piqued at the beloved Taco Bell chain because he claims he was featured in their "Why Pay More?" campaign without his permission. Taco Bell countered they thought they had an agreement in place to use his image in exchange for a $10,000 donation to the charity of his choosing. Well, the charity of his choice is 50 Cent and he says they need to pay more - $4 MM to be precise.
Taco Bell originally featured him in a print ad with a request to change his outlandish, screwball name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or even 99 Cent. In the ad the rapper sensibly counters, "Why Pay More?" In real life, he is giving Taco Bell many reasons why they need to pay more, including diluting the value of his good name. While even blind Lady Justice must have had a good laugh on that one, the legal battle has just begun. [Source]
