In honor of the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's "Thriller," Epic Records is planning a special edition of the album, with new remixes by Kanye West, Akon and will.i.am.  The February 12th release will also include rare demos and a previously unreleased track titled, "For All Time."  A bonus DVD will feature all of Michael's groundbreaking music videos from the "Thriller" era.  [Source]

Britney Spears & MTV Launch "Piece Of Me" Video Contest

Britney Spears has already shot the video for her next single, "Piece of Me," but she's apparently hedging her bets by asking fans to create their own clip for the song. MTV will host the contest, with fans getting access to videos and pictures of Britney over the years, and then editing their masterpiece through the MTV Video Remixer.

Amy Winehouse's record label released a statement today, saying that all of her remaining concerts and appearances have been cancelled through the end of the year.  "Amy Winehouse has cancelled all remaining live and promotional appearances for the remainder of the year on the instruction of her doctor.  The rigours involved in touring and the intense emotional strain that Amy has been under in recent weeks have taken their toll.  In the interests of her health and well-being, Amy has been ordered to take complete rest and deal with her health issues."  [Source]
