The competition between Beyoncé and Sasha is becoming fierce. A few weeks ago Beyoncé premiered the video for her latest single, the pretty but understated, "Broken-Hearted Girl." CD sales and downloads of albums and singles continued strong, with album sales in excess of 800,000 since Sony and Universal were able to replenish physical stocks that were depleted in the wake of Michael Jackson's passing. Jackson ruled over Billboard and SoundScan singles and album charts.
A reported 1.6 million people registered online to receive the 8,750 pairs of free tickets offered to the public. The memorial services will be broadcast live on a number of networks, cable channels and radio stations beginning at 10 AM PST.

People vying to be a part of the Michael Jackson memorial on Tuesday at the Staples Center can register for free tickets [here]. 11,000 tickets will be available for the Staples Center memorial, which will be broadcast around the world and across town at the Nokia Theatre.

The registration for tickets will end at 6 p.m. Saturday. 8,750 names will be drawn randomly for two tickets each to either the Staples Center or Nokia Theatre. Those getting tickets will be notified on Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. with instructions on picking up tickets and wristbands. [Ticket Registration]
